Amanda Knox’s Appeal Date is Set

According to CBS news, Amanda Knox’s appeal trial will begin on November 23rd, 2010.  This leaves Ms. Knox is an Italian prison for another five months before the case is heard.

She did appear in court yesterday regarding the more recent slander charge.  Knox, in her defense testimony, claimed that the Italian police hit her on the back of the head.  The police deny this allegation.

With the recent claim that there is new possible evidence in this case, with a claim that the missing house keys and knife used in the murder can be located, the appeal will no doubt be headline grabbing.

I write about Ms. Knox’s case as she was a study abroad student while in Italy. While this blog receives MANY comments about the possibility that Ms. Knox is innocent or guilty, I am curious to hear your thoughts on how your institution has adjusted its program delivery as a result of the Amanda Knox case.   What concerns you about study abroad in Italy, or elsewhere, as a result of this case?

My opinion is that she did the crime in frenzy , too high on hasish and booze, explaining no motive. Then, next morning she and her boyfriend tried to dodge the investigators by making things as much as they could. However in doing so they got entangled in their own contradictions and lies which led police to believe them as suspects. Later when she blamed an innocent man , who was eventually released, not to mention that he lost his business, it became very clear any one with a common sense that she is not an innocent woman

  2. Missy,
I just completed my term as Board Chair of City University of Seattle and am a lawyer with an emphasis on international law. We have a new program working with affiliated law firms in Italy which we set up in the wake of the Amanda Knox matter. Please send me an email if you are interested in seeing it. I could send it to you as a pdf.

@jim “too high on hasish and booze” obsviously youve never smoked weed or hash, nobody smokes a joint and goes on a murderous rampage. She lied so that the investigators would leave her alone. She was questioned without a lawyer for 20 hours. Youd have to fabricate something after that long to get a break. She’s innocent

Am not sure about this one but something certainly dose not add up! I just hope knox and her man have a story that concludes with each other by the next hearing!
